favorite characters/teams
warren worthington III also known as angel, archangel, death, avenging angel. his full name is warren kenneth worthington III, and he was also confirmed to be an esquire in x-factor #47. i love warren. he's probably the character in any media ever that i relate to the most. i think he's an amazing allegory for self-hatred, gender dysphoria/body dysmorphia, and being a rape victim who struggles with revictimization. if i ever make a writeup page specific to comics, i'll definitely be writing about this guy the most. also not to be weird but he's lowkey my top kin. check out his shrine here!
the og new warriors especially speedball, but really, i love all of them. i think nicieza really shines when he's writing about teams of teens with an adult mentor with a dubious past, since i absolutely loved his x-force run as well. dwayne, nita, vance, angel, richard, and robbie are just probably one of the best first lineups of any team aside from the x-men.
hank pym i truly do not play about this guy. i think out of every character that i've encountered over my years of reading comics, he is the one character that i can relate to when it comes to being bipolar. we are emotionally volatile. we are prone to being in terrible headspaces. we cannot thrive unless we are in good environments. and also the whole yellowjacket thing too. i only have bipolar II with psychotic features instead of having actual manic episodes, but i can still heavily relate to hank and his mental state. great character with great stories and great writing. glad people are moving past "oh my god he slapped janet!".

favorite series/runs/whatever
louise simonson's x-factor i think this is a given, considering the fact that warren is my top kin and louise is probably the one writer (besides remender and maybe lobdell) that gave him the most characterization, but DON'T EVEN JOKE. every issue of this is perfect. x-factor #15 and #24 are both on my wall for a reason. i love how she wasn't afraid to handle actually serious topics (especially suicide), and also didn't make these issues a woman-only thing. i think her male characters actually struggled more than her female characters during this run.
fallen angels (1987) to be honest, the story itself goes all over the place at times. the reason why i love this series so much is because of the emotional value. reading this basically confirmed bpd sunspot in my mind and i don't think i'll be elaborating on this very much, but i just also want to say that cannonball is definitely his fp.
